YL's latest masterpiece, the upgraded V2, was unveiled at the 150th anniversary Salon de Geneva, along with several other new timepieces. As one of IWC's most iconic collections, this new watch is the only one to feature a large date display window.
Featuring a blue lacquered dial with exquisite craftsmanship and the iconic strap design (watch model: IW502708), it is equipped with the in-house caliber 2850 movement, a Pellaton winding system with zero-wear ceramic components, and a 7-day power reserve achieved with double barrels.
The blue lacquered dial, along with the small seconds subdial and 7-day power reserve indicator on either side, makes the dial of the new watch more harmonious and provides a unique visual experience.
Below the 12 o'clock marker are three calendar function windows, each presented in an American layout. They display the month, date, and day of the week, and only need to be adjusted once a year at the end of February.
The lacquered blue dial exudes a sense of quality, blending seamlessly with the rhodium-plated indicators and the brand's classic pilot's hour markers, showcasing IWC's signature aesthetic dial design. The hour and minute hands, small seconds hand, 8-day power reserve indicator, and main hour markers are all equipped with luminescent components, ensuring easy time reading even in low-light conditions. The transparent case back allows a panoramic view of the 52850 in-house movement through a sapphire crystal. Notably, the brand has also specially incorporated a 150th-anniversary commemorative gold coin into the design, and the stainless steel portion of the case back is engraved with the watch's unique serial number!
